What is it about the Thoroughbred?

Is it the luxuriously long legs?

The elegantly stretched head?

The delicately pricked ears?

The ride?

Is it the sensitive spirit?

The inquisitive eyes?

The endless energy?

The pride?

Is it the huff of warm breath?

The soft wet tongue?

The velvety nose?

The sigh?

Is it the gleaming coat?

The rippling muscles?

The feminine frame?

The might?

I don't know what it is.

Maybe all of those things.

I just know that I wish

They were all of them mine.
